Want to go to camp for $50?
It’s possible – and all you have to do is go to Sunday School at Calvary Chapel! Beginning January 22, 2012, Calvary Chapel will keep track of the Sunday School attendance of all camp-aged kids. Once you have gone to Sunday School four times (it doesn’t have to be consecutively), you have earned $25 off your CBW fee. Go four more times, and that’s another $25! If you attend Sunday School at Calvary Chapel 25 out of the 28 Sundays between January 22 and July 29, your ENTIRE camp fee after the $50 registration fee will be paid for you!
Here’s how it works:
All campers will pay the $50 registration fee. If you fall short of the 25 Sunday goal, don’t worry – you can still get the rest of it free! Combine the Sunday School discounts you did earn with other discounts we offer, such as early bird registration and discounts for bringing new campers.
This only applies to Sunday School at Calvary Chapel. Calvary Chapel is the church that sponsors Camp Berean Way, and this program is being created to encourage church attendance as well as CBW enrollment. If you’re a Calvary Chapel kid already, this will get you motivated to get up and come to Sunday School! If you live in the Massillon/Canton area and don’t currently attend church, we hope this will encourage you and your family to try Calvary Chapel. This quarter, we are offering a “family” Sunday School program in the Family Life Center (gym). Your whole family, from babies and toddlers to parents and grandparents, can come with you to this class. After the lesson in Family Sunday School, the older kids (about ages 11 or 12 and up) will break out to their own discussion and small group time, facilitated by Kelsey Becker. There is also an adult Sunday School class going on at the same time that offers deeper Bible study. Sunday School begins at 9:30 and goes until 10:30, and our worship service starts at 10:45.
We can hear you saying, “But wait! I’m not at home EVERY Sunday! I can’t do this!” Here’s our solution: if there are times when you are traveling or staying with someone else, you may attend another church’s Sunday School and still receive credit by bringing in that church’s bulletin, signed by your Sunday School teacher.
I hear others saying, “But I go to another area church and I’m already involved in Sunday School! Do I get discounts?” The answer is no, sorry. We’re really glad you are attending church and growing in the Lord. Going to church and learning with other believers is something God commands us to do and that we encourage all campers to do, but this specific promotion only applies to Calvary Chapel’s Sunday School.
Registration forms for 2012 will be printed in late February and mailed to everyone that attended camp last year. We will also put a printable version on the website.
